Pressure
The touch was gentle at first,
as it was placed on the glass.
The dome, slightly misty at worst,
it first could withstand the mass.
The rose laid below, on a stand,
is quickly covered from view,
as pressure builds on the hand,
and cracks begin to run through
the glass, meeting off to the side,
there sounds a crunching and then,
fingers crash down, inside,
close on thorns, glass, so when
the hand retreats,
is wrapped in sheets,
and the rose can breathe again.
